“The project  of the largest olive trees  plantation in Portugal grows day after day and has now 57 estates in 4 regions of Portugal adding  up to over  10.000  ha.

The poles are located in Ferreira do Alentejo, Campo Maior, Elvas and Aviz.  The largest pole, in Ferreira do Alentejo, has about 3.400 ha, where the emblematic Oliveira da Serra olive press is located, at the so called Marmelo Estate.

Come and visit Oliveira da Serra Olive Oil Press, the largest olive tree plantation in Portugal. Guided tours by expert specialized guides explain all the steps of olive oil production. From olive harvest to the system of intensive and super intensive olive trees, where you can have the real feeling of the extension of the plantation. The tour makes a stop at the Marmelo Dam, an infrastructure integrated in the Alqueva Project.   At the end of each tour there is a tasting showing the main differences between the various Oliveira da Serra olive oils.”
