Ervideira Wine Cellar
“The Monte da Ribeira and Herdadinha estates, both belong to the Leal da Costa family, whose trace goes back to the XIX and XX centuries to the well succeeded farmer Count of Ervideira. He received his title from King Carlos I, as a recognition for his social work in the area, which started his wine production in 1880 as shown on the bottles that the company proudly exhibits in the wine tasting room. The 160 hectares vineyards are split between the Vidigueira and Reguengos estates. The matriarch of the family and her six children are in charge of the management of the Ervideira Estate, D. Duarte Leal da Costa being the executive director. Nelson Rolo is the oenologist director.
